Detroit, MI · (@Wilabee) ~ United States (WCJB) -- (Published: Sun., April 23, 2017) -- DETROIT, MI (TAD) - A shotgun blast leaves two police officers injured -- and a nineteen year old suspect in handcuffs. The young man's father insisted his son was acting in self-defense. Outside on Detroit's Lesure Street, 19-year-old Juwan Plummer stands beside his mother and younger brother. Plummer, who is now out on bond, is charged for shooting and injuring the officers. Plummer became emotional days earlier after hearing the seven charges against him, including intentional discharge of a firearm in a building causing serious injury. "The fact that he actually injured someone - on top of that, police officers -- it scares him to death," said Vincent Redd, his father.

SACRAMENTO, CA (Published: 7:12 PM, FEBRUARY 7, 2017) — The city of Sacramento is broadening its status as a sanctuary city, following a statewide trend of push back against President Donald Trump and his administration’s stated policies. City Councilman Eric Guerra will head Sacramento’s Sanctuary City Task Force — a new body that will provide legal aid and resources for undocumented Sacramento residents, update a 1985 city ordinance defining Sacramento as a sanctuary city, and look for legal challenges to the Trump administration’s policies both on immigration and on sanctuary cities. “Regardless of the policies that come forward, our number one priority as a city is to protect our residents,” said Guerra, referring to residents like Edwin Valdez, a 20-year-old Sacramento college student whose parents are both undocumented and have been living in Sacramento since 1994.

Blinded by White Supremacy ~ 2017!
ORLANDO, FL {April 12, 2017} — A judge said Wednesday that he will not grant Markeith Loyd’s request for a specific Miami attorney. He said Loyd has the right to an attorney. However, he does not have the right to choose one that is being paid by the state. Loyd had previously insisted that he wanted to represent himself, but a judge urged him to reconsider. During a hearing earlier this month, Loyd asked that the judge appoint Miami attorney Terence Lenamon to represent him. During Wednesday’s hearing the judge listed a number of reasons for his decision not to grant Loyd’s request. Loyd reiterated his objection to standby counsel and stood up during the hearing and said: "I’m done. And I want you to step off my case because you've been compromised. I'm done." Loyd was told to have a seat. Loyd briefly met with his standby counsel. Loyd agreed to allow the attorney to temporarily represent him.

(Published: Thurs., April 13, 2017) — On Monday, Nandi Cain Jr. had just gotten off work and was headed to his Sacramento apartment when he noticed an officer approaching from behind him with his hand on his gun, according to police accounts, videos of the event and local news reports. Cain put his hands up as the officer approached, but continued to walk away slowly. He asked the police officer the reason for the stop, then protested when he heard it: “You were jaywalking,” the officer said on the dash-cam video released by the police department this week. “I looked both ways,” Cain replied. “You’re harassing me. I just got off work. You’re trying to pull me over for nothing.” Click here for video

EL CENTRO, CA (WCJB) ~ United States The El Centro Police Department said it's investigating a video that shows officers using force on a suspect who put several people in danger Tuesday afternoon. The video shows officers beating 23-year-old Elizardo Saenz, an El Centro resident. It also shows a K-9 police dog attacking Saenz. (Click here for video)

Oakland, CA (WCJB) ~ United States -- A sex scandal involving Oakland police officers and a then underage girl has all the makings of a TV thriller. The saga is full of twists and turns. The scandal erupted months after Officer Brendan O'Brien committed suicide. O'Brien left a note spilling the details, including names. Three Oakland officers were placed on paid leave. A source said O'Brien in his suicide note confessed to exchanging messages with a young woman who goes by the name Celeste Guap. However, the note says he did not have sexual contact with her. The same sources said she has met multiple officers. In the note, O'Brien named the officers, including one sergeant, involved in the alleged sexual misconduct with Guap. Guap is the daughter of a Oakland police dispatcher. The police investigation will look at whether Guap was under age during some of the encounters with officers. (Click here for video)

New Orleans, LA (WCJB) ~ United States -- On September 4, 2005, New Orleans police received a call from an officer at Danziger Bridge reporting gunfire. Several NOPD officers—including Sgt. Kenneth Bowen, Sgt. Robert Gisevius, Officer Anthony Villavaso, and Officer Robert Faulcon—arrived at the scene in a Budget rental truck. They proceeded to open fire with assault rifles and a shotgun on an unarmed family, the Bartholomews, who had been walking to a grocery store and were then sheltering behind a concrete barrier. 17-year-old James Brissette—a family friend—was killed, and four other people were wounded. The police shooters stated that while approaching the bridge, they had been fired on by civilians, and were forced to return fire. Homicide detective Arthur "Archie" Kaufman was made the lead investigator on the case. He was later found guilty of conspiring with the defendants to conceal evidence in order to make the shootings appear justified, including fabricating information for his official reports on the case. NOPD lieutenant Michael Lohman also encouraged the officers to "provide false stories about what had precipitated the shooting" and plant a firearm near the scene. (Click here for video)

Aiken, S.C. (WCJB) ~ United States -- A horrifying new dashcam video shows at least one white member of the Aiken, S.C. Police Department search inside a black man’s rectum for the apparent crime of being a passenger in a car with paper tags, which, it bears noting, is not a crime in the state of South Carolina. Driving a car with paper tags isn’t illegal either, as long as they aren’t expired. The car belonged to a woman named Lakeya Hicks, who had the paper tags because she had recently purchased the vehicle. Hicks’ tags weren’t expired, and a check on her license came up clean. However, the cops didn’t let her go. (Click here for video)

Brooklyn, NY (WCJB) ~ United States -- When an unmarked police car drove very close to mailman Glenn Grays in Brooklyn, Grays shouted at the car. Pink housing projects in the East New York section of Brooklyn. Jury selection in the case was completed last week. Gurley died more than 14 months ago, on November 20, 2014, as two cops were making a “vertical patrol,” checking the stairwells in the high-rise building. As Brooklyn Assistant District Attorney Marc Fliedner put it, opening the prosecution’s case, “Akai Gurley is dead today because he crossed paths with Peter Liang.” Liang was indicted by a Brooklyn grand jury on manslaughter and other charges last February, and both prosecution and defense agree on the immediate events that led to Gurley’s death.(Click here for video)

Chicago, IL -- Surveillance video (Click here for video) in connection with a Chicago police officer's fatally shooting 17-year-old Cedrick Chatman was released today by attorneys for the teen's family. A federal judge ordered the release of footage showing the 2013 shooting today after the city withdrew its objection to its being made public. Chicago police officer Kevin Fry fatally shot Chatman Jan. 7, 2013, in broad daylight during a foot chase, according to court records. Chatman’s family had fought for the video to be released as part of a wrongful death lawsuit they filed over the shooting against the city, Fry and Chicago police officer Lou Toth, who pursued Chatman along with Fry during the foot chase. Family members have argued the video will counter the city and police’s narrative that the 17-year-old was a danger to police. IPRA concluded the officers' actions were justified because they reasonably believed Chatman was armed at the time.

Brooklyn, NY -- A newly-released surveillance video (Click here for video) contradicts an undercover NYPD police officer who arrested four people in Brooklyn for allegedly trying to rob him on Dec. 26, 2015, according to a defense lawyer. Jean Scott, 33; Peterson Duplan, 28; Ricardi Joseph, 29; and Samantha Dabel, 24, said that they were approached by a man who tried to buy drugs from them at a hardware store. The undercover cop was identified as Winston McDonald, who testified in court that Duplan allegedly flashed a switchblade at him outside of the store, and said, "Give me your money or I will stab you," according to court papers.

Forth Worth, TX -- The mother of ‘affluenza’ teen Ethan Couch was ordered released from a Tarrant County jail cell after a bond hearing this afternoon. She may be leaving the jail soon. Judge Wayne Salvant ordered her bond reduced to $75,000 with several conditions. The conditions include weekly visits with the Community Supervisions and Corrections Department of Tarrant County. She is also not to consume alcoholic beverages or use social media. “Let’s look at it for what it is, I understand everyone is concerned and there is outrage in the community… but as a judge I have to look at the law,” said Judge Salvant. Couch and her lawyers were present at a 2 p.m. bond hearing at the Tarrant County Justice Center hoping to have her bond reduced. Salt Lake City, Utah -- Exactly one year after a man was shot and killed during an altercation with a Salt Lake City Police Department officer, a former Davis County Sheriff says new video (Click here for video)footage indicates the officer's actions may not have been justified. Miami, FL ~ USA -- A Florida jury began weighing on Tuesday whether a man who killed his wife and posted a photo of her blood-spattered, lifeless body on Facebook committed first-degree murder. Attorneys for Derek Medina, 33, argued that he was acting in self-defense when he fired eight shots at Jennifer Alfonso, 27, in the kitchen of their Miami-area residence. The August 2013 shooting followed a fight in which she had threatened to leave, prosecutors said during closing statements. They argued that Medina retrieved a .380-caliber pistol from his bedroom and pulled the trigger repeatedly in a premeditated act of murder. "Every single shot hit her because he was aiming and he wanted her dead," said Assistant State Attorney Leah Klein in Miami-Dade County circuit court. Medina wrote on Facebook shortly before turning himself in: "I'm going to prison or death sentence for killing my wife. My wife was punching me, and I am not going to stand any more with the abuse so I did what I did," he added in the post. (Click here for video)

He did not appear visibly moved; when asked if he understood the charges, he replied simply: “Yes.” Bail was set at $1m, of which Cosby will have to pay 10% on Wednesday. Cosby faces up to 10 years in prison for each charge.

Oklahoma City OK ~ USA -- A former Oklahoma City police officer was convicted Thursday of 18 of the 36 counts he faced, including four counts of first-degree rape, related to accusations that he victimized 13 women on his police beat in a minority, low-income neighborhood. Daniel Holtzclaw, 29, sobbed (Click here for video) as the verdict was read aloud. He could spend the rest of his life in prison based on the jury's recommendations, which include a 30-year sentence on each of the first-degree rape counts. Among the other charges he was convicted of were forcible oral sodomy, sexual battery and second-degree rape. The jury, which deliberated for about 45 hours over four days, recommended he serve a total of 263 years in prison. The judge will decide later whether he will have to serve the sentences consecutively.

"Preview: Dilemmas of Democracy
Race & Police Brutality in the USA - 2012!"

Runtime: 01:34:30 (Link to Movie)

Description: In the United States, race and police brutality continue to be closely linked, and the phenomenon has sparked a string of race riots and general uprisings over the years. During the Vietnam War, anti-war demonstrations were sometimes quelled through the use of billy-clubs and CS gas, commonly known as tear gas. The most notorious of these assaults took place during the August 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. The actions of the police were later described as a "police riot" in the Walker Report to the U.S. National Commission on the Causes and Prevention of Violence (See Documentary). One recent and notable uprising was caused by the arrest and beating of Rodney King on March 3, 1991 by officers of the Los Angeles Police Department. The police officers' brutality had been videotaped by a bystander and widely broadcast (around the world) afterwards. When the four law enforcement officers charged with assault and other charges were acquitted, the 1992 Los Angeles Riots broke out (See Documentary). Copyright © 2013 Streat Beatz™. Raging Spa Treatment!

Posted: October 21, 2012 - Updated: October 21, 2012 - 10:24 pm PDT

Brookfield, Wisc. -- A man who had been ordered to stay away from his estranged wife barged into a Wisconsin spa where his wife worked and shot seven women, killing three of them, before shooting himself to death, police said today. Radcliffe Haughton, 45 (pictured above, center) was among the dead. Police said that it appears that Haughton started a small fire in the Azana Salon & Spa in Brookfield, Wisc., that was extinguished by the building's sprinkler system. Initial reports that Haughton left behind a bomb turned out to be false. Authorities swarmed Haughton's home in the suburb of Brown Deer, and sent in a robot to search the residence, News affiliates reported.

"We believe this incident is domestic violence related," Brookfield Police Chief Daniel Tushaus said at a news conference this evening. Tushaus said that on Oct. 4 police were called to the spa because Haughton allegedly slashed the tires of his wife's car. She sought a restraining order on her husband on Oct. 8 and on Oct. 18 a judge issued a four-year restraining order, Tushaus said. Today's shooting erupted 11:09 a.m CT in Brookfield, and shortly after SWAT teams surrounded the spa with their guns drawn, preparing for a gun battle. "We were expecting an armed encounter," Tushaus said.

Witnesses described screaming women, at least one bleeding, fleeing the spa, with one rolling down a slight hill before police scooped her up and got her out of the area. Tushaus said that police rescued up to 12 clients and employees when they first arrived and began a painstaking search of the 9,000 square foot building that includes two floors. The chief said the building included many treatment rooms, often locked. A "be on the lookout" alert was issued for Haughton and hours later, they found Haughton in a locked section of the building where he had apparently shot himself, the chief said. A black 2003 Mazda driven by the suspect was recovered outside of Brookfield, however police declined to say where it was found. Tushaus said police believe the gunman took a taxi to the spa.

The four injured women ranged in age from 22 to 40 and were taken to Froedert Hospital with what were described as non-critical injuries. The hospital was briefly placed on lock down and only patients with a police escort were being accepted. Employees wishing to enter had to show identification. Sheriff deputies searched the hospital before lifting the lockdown, apparently worried that the gunman had followed the victims to the hospital.

The Westmoor Country Club, which shares a parking lot with the spa, was put on lockdown along with other businesses in the area, said the club's chief operating officer Joe Coen. "We didn't hear anything but ventured to the north toward the spa and we could clearly see police officers with what looked like to be a rifle and a few attendants were coming out of the building," he said. "We quickly retreated back to the building where authorities have told us to stay."

This is not the first time a violent shooting has rocked the area. On Aug. 5, Wade Michael Page, an Army veteran and white supremacist, killed six people and injured three others before fatally shooting himself at a Sikh temple south of Milwaukee. In 2005, less than a mile away, a gunman killed seven people and wounded four more at a church service at the Sheraton Hotel. Terry Michael Ratzmann, the 44-year-old gunman, then committed suicide.

Canada -- Magnotta was pegged as a serial kitten-killer by animal rights activists. He is also said to be a man who may have dated a Canadian woman convicted of drugging, raping, torturing and killing young girls almost two decades ago. A journalist who met him years ago described him as "creepy." Magnotta's images and words are all over the Internet, on porn sites and what appears to be his own website, where he defends himself as the victim of cyberstalkers out to get him. All of this paled in comparison to this week's accusations against Magnotta as he became the center of Canada's most talked-about crime. Authorities launched a massive manhunt for Magnotta after a severed hand was sent to Canada's Liberal Party, a foot to the Conservatives and a torso was stuffed in a suitcase and tossed in the trash of the Montreal apartment building where he lived. "We opened it and there was a body with no head," Mike Nadeau, the building cleaner, told media sources.

The building, located on the corner of Place Lucie and Decarie Boulevard, on the edges of an expressway, will be forever notorious. The foul smell of rotting flesh permeated the building. Inside apartment No. 208, dried blood stained the table, the bed, the bathtub, the refrigerator. To make matters more chilling, Montreal police Commander Ian Lefreniere said Magnotta filmed himself in the act, the shocking 10-minute video then posted online for all to see. Magnotta knew the victim, whom Lafreniere said he could not identify. He said the headless body was too mutilated to make any immediate identification.

A search for Magnotta on Google yields a plethora of images that match his description of himself: A model, an actor, a porn star. There are images of Magnotta half or fully naked, in suggestive poses, lips always pouted. A reporter met Magnotta in 2007. There were rumors then that Magnotta was romantically linked to Karla Homolka, who many years before was arrested for the rape-murders of three Ontario girls, including her own sister. In a plea bargain deal, she was sentenced to only 12 years in jail. Magnotta's name is also familiar to animal rights activists who accuse him of being a serial kitten-killer. They say the man in an YouTube video killing kittens by drowning and asphyxiation and then using the carcasses in sexual acts is Magnotta. A Facebook group started in December 2010 identified Magnotta by name on its page, dubbed him the "Vacuum Kitten Killer" and asked for help in tracking him down. Lafreniere of the Montreal police department said he was aware of the animal allegations. "Again, this might give us an update about what kind of man he is," Lafreniere said. His image and information related to him were later recovered from a "very graphic" website, Lafreniere said. At least one of the websites examined by authorities was pornographic.

He was born in 1982 in Scarborough, just outside Toronto, as Eric Clinton Newman. He changed his name to Luka Rocco Magnotta in 2006. Sometimes, he used the alias Vladimir Romanov. His website has writings in Russian as well as a link in Arabic that takes readers to an explanation of homosexuality. The police bulletin described him as a white male with black hair, blue eyes. He stood 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighed about 135 pounds. Lefreniere said Magnotta, a king of disguises, once wrote about how to disappear after committing the perfect crime. Police are hoping he will not be able to follow his own advice. Canadian police believe Magnotta, 29, (who was born as Eric Clinton Newman and also uses the alias Vladimir Romanov) has fled the country, prompting Interpol, the global police agency, to add his name to its most wanted list. Police have reason to believe he might have gone to eastern Europe. Lefreniere said there was a possibility he might have re-entered Canada under another name.

Crumbled!

Posted: 3:30 PM EDT, Wed May 30, 2012 - Updated: 10:30 PM PDT, Thur May 31, 2012

Marin, California (WCJB) -- James Lee Crummel (pictured above, center) a 68-year-old California inmate on death row in San Quentin State Prison was found dead hanging in his cell, authorities said Tuesday. Authorities are investigating the suicide of condemned inmate Crummel and declined to provide the circumstances of the hanging, which happened Sunday afternoon in the rear of his single-occupant cell, said Lt. Sam Robinson of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. A corrections officer had last observed Crummel 15 minutes before he was found dead, Robinson said. The officer was doing an inmate count before dinner when he found Crummel's body, Robinson said. Crummel had not been under suicide watch, Robinson said.

Crummel went to death row shortly after being sentenced to death on July 9, 2004, by a Riverside County jury for the April 13, 1979, killing of 13-year-old James "Jamie" Trotter (pictured left). Trotter was on his way to school in Costa Mesa in 1979 when authorities say Crummel kidnapped, sexually abused and then murdered him. The boy's remains were found in 1990, and the identity of the body was not confirmed until 1996, authorities said. By then, Crummel was already in prison for other crimes. Randy Lawton, a Newport Beach police officer who investigated the murder, kidnapping and sexual assault of 13-year-old Trotter said: "He was the most evil person I had ever had contact with. May all his victims, known and unknown, now have peace."

Crummel was one of the first Orange County targets of "Megan's Law," which allows authorities to notify neighbors if any "high-risk" sex offenders live in their midst. He was living in the Newport Crest condominiums in 1997 when Newport Beach police notified neighbors that a repeat child molester lived nearby. Crummel had been previously convicted of sex crimes in four states dating to the 1960s. While police were investigating the murder of Trotter, Crummel was arrested for molesting three teenage boys.

Crummel was born Jan. 27, 1944, in Kalamazoo, Mich., the second of five children to Loretta Beisehl. Crummel recalled his mother as a domineering woman who treated her son like the little girl she always wanted. Sometimes she dressed him like a girl and had him fix her hair. When he was 8 years old, he later told prison psychologists, he performed a sex act on a neighborhood boy for a pocketful of pennies. He quit school after being expelled in ninth grade for punching a student and knocking down his principal.

When he turned 17, Crummel enlisted in the Army. He quickly achieved two service awards: marksman and sharpshooter. But one year later, in 1962, he received a court-martial in Missouri for molesting two boys and a girl. At his trial, a military psychiatrist testified that he had the emotional maturity of an 8-year-old. Crummel was sentenced to 10 years in Fort Leavenworth, Kan. In 1966, his mother died of a brain hemorrhage. Later that year, he was set free after serving four of the 10 years.

California reinstated capital punishment in 1978, and since then, 57 condemned inmates have died from natural causes, 20 have committed suicide, 13 have been executed in California, one was executed in Missouri and six died from other causes, authorities said. California has 723 convicts on California's death row.

OAKLAND, Calif. - A suspect was detained Monday in a shooting attack at an Oakland Christian university that sources said has left at least five people dead. Law enforcement sources close to the investigation told media sources that at least five people have died after the morning shooting at Oikos University. Meanwhile, police said a suspect was detained in the attack. "I can confirm that we do have one person who has been detained that we believe is possibly responsible for this shooting," Officer Johnna Watson said.
Police in nearby Alameda told media sources that the suspected gunman was taken into custody at a shopping center there at about 12:20 p.m. His identity was not immediately released but the suspect was earlier described by police as a Korean man in his 40s with a heavy build and wearing khaki clothing. Four victims arrived at Highland Hospital for treatment, said spokeswoman Jerri Randrup. Earlier, media video showed at least four victims being wheeled out of the university shortly after 11:00 a.m. Other sources reported that at least one of the victims was covered with a tarp. "One of the people who was inside the building, she was saying there is a crazy guy inside," witness Brian Snow told media sources. "She did say someone got shot in the chest right next to her before she got taken off in an ambulance." According of its website, Oikos University offers studies in theology, music, nursing and Asian medicine.

Death Well!

FRENCH CAMP, Calif.(Kimberly Billy (left) and JoAnn Hobson) - Two more possible victims of the "Speed Freak Killers" were identified Friday, more than 25 years after they disappeared from their Stockton homes, authorities said. In total, the remains of four missing young women from the Central Valley have been found this year as a result of death row inmate Wesley Shermantine's crudely drawn maps directing authorities to burial sites. In the latest discovery, San Joaquin County Sheriff Steve Moore said the remains of Kimberly Billy, who went missing in 1984 at the age of 19, and JoAnn Hobson, who disappeared in 1985 at 16, were among the hundreds of bone fragments found last month in an abandoned well near the farming town of Linden.
Authorities said they were working to identify the remains of a third body found in the well. "At this point, of those 1,000 bone pieces that were recovered from the well, the forensic anthropologist has been able to reconstruct what they believe to be three individuals," Moore said. Investigators believe they were victims of Shermantine and Loren Herzog (pictured left) who authorities say went on a methamphetamine-fueled killing spree in the 1980s and 90s. Searchers were directed to the well by Shermantine, who hand-drew maps in his San Quentin Prison cell after a Sacramento bounty hunter promised to pay him for information about victims.
Authorities also unearthed the remains of two other young women in February who were believed to be the victims of Shermantine (pictured left) and Herzog. Shermantine is now on death row for four murders. Herzog hanged himself in January after the bounty hunter told him Shermantine was disclosing locations of victims. Shermantine, who blames Herzog for the killing spree, told authorities that 10 or more bodies could have been stashed at the Linden well. Before his suicide, Herzog maintained Shermantine was responsible for the deaths.

URBANA, Ohio - Police have arrested five people they believe were involved in the death of an Ohio woman who authorities say was stabbed, suffocated and dismembered in a bathtub. Jessica Rae Sacco, 21, was found dead in her apartment about 40 miles northwest of Columbus on Friday. According to media sources, investigators said that they believed Sacco's on-again-off-again boyfriend Matthew Puccio, 25 (pictured left) stabbed her around March 22, suffocated her with a bag and dismembered her body in a bathtub. Authorities also believe he then, along with the help of others, transported some of her body parts to other locations. Neighbors said Sacco and Puccio had a volatile relationship. "Jessica was a very nice girl and kept to herself most of the time," said neighbor Aaron Gall. Puccio was arrested along with a man and woman from Fenton, Michigan. Felony charges against the Michigan couple and a man and woman from Urbana, allege they failed to intervene during the killing, or helped to hide it, police said. Their bonds ranged from $30,000 to $42,500. Two will appear in court in Fenton, and two in Hamilton, where they were arrested, to determine whether they'll be sent to Fenton. Police allege that the Fenton couple helped transport some of the remains to Covington, Ky., about 90 miles away. They said they found evidence there but wouldn't elaborate. According to other media sources, Puccio's bond is more than $532,500. An autopsy on Sacco was done over the weekend and police said they believe she was killed about a week before she was found, possibly on March 22. Police believe the main suspect acted alone in killing Sacco and then received help from the Fenton man to move and dismember the body.

The Prue Duo!

St. JOHNSBURY, Vt. — A snowplow driver and his wife went to great lengths to dispose of the body of a popular teacher they had just beaten and strangled, putting her nude body on a tarp, pouring bleach on it, weighing the corpse down with concrete blocks and tossing it into the Connecticut River, court documents allege. Allen Prue, 30 (pictured above, right) and his wife, 33-year-old Patricia Prue (pictured above, left) were riding around when he got the idea “to get a girl,” a police affidavit said. They are accused of luring single mother Melissa Jenkins from her home by pretending their vehicle had broken down. Her vehicle was found idling Sunday with her unharmed 2-year-old son inside. Police were called Sunday night after Jenkins’ son was found alone in the vehicle. The couple pleaded not guilty Wednesday to second-degree murder in the death of Jenkins, a 33-year-old science teacher at the prestigious St. Johnsbury Academy, and unauthorized burial or removal of a dead body. The Prues were ordered held without bail. More charges are possible, police said. After the court appearance, Allen Prue’s mother, Donna Prue, said that her son has never been in trouble with the law before and that she has faith he didn’t commit the crime. “I do not believe he would ever do this, because he didn’t have it in him. I have nothing against her (Patricia); I don’t have nothing bad to say about either one,” said Donna Prue, who lives with the couple and her daughter. She said she did not know Jenkins.
Police said the Prues hadn’t planned a use of force. But they gave few details on a possible motive in Jenkins’ death. “They knew Miss Jenkins (pictured left) and had snowplowed her driveway a couple of years ago,” Vermont State Police Maj. Ed Ledo said at a news conference announcing the arrests. A friend told police that Allen Prue had asked Jenkins out a couple of times and that she felt uncomfortable around him, according to the documents. She stopped having him plow, and in autumn 2011 he showed up drunk at her home asking if he could plow her driveway the following year. Her former boyfriend told police she called him saying that she had gotten a weird call from a couple who used to plow her driveway and that she was going to help them. She wanted someone to know what she was doing, the documents say. When he couldn’t reach her two hours later, he went to check on her. He told police he found her vehicle, with her son sleeping in it, and one of her shoes nearby. In the police affidavit, authorities also outlined how they traced the phone that was used by the Prues to call Jenkins the night she disappeared, the fact she had called a friend worried about a “weird call” she got “from a girl and guy who used to plow her driveway,” and how the body was found. The police affidavit said: Allen Prue later told police that Patricia Prue had called Jenkins and said they were broken down hear her home, documents said. When Jenkins got out of her vehicle, Allen Prue grabbed her and strangled her. He then put the body in the backseat of their car, and they drove to their home. At some point, Patricia Prue choked Jenkins in the car “to ensure she wasn’t breathing.” Back at their home, he put Jenkins’ body on a tarp, removed her clothes and poured bleach on her body. The Prues also removed their clothes and put them on the tarp. They then drove to a boat access at the Connecticut River, which separates Vermont from New Hampshire, and put Jenkins’ body in the water, weighing it down with cinder blocks and concealing it with brush. The accused couple may have had sexual motivations, according to the county’s top prosecutor, and investigators noted finding condoms and wrappers where the body – which showed signs of a severe beating -- was found in a wooded area. Caledonia County’s top prosecutor, State’s Attorney Lisa Warren, told media sources that the killing appeared to be “sexually motivated.” When sources contacted Warren’s office to further elaborate on her comment, a woman who answered the phone directed all calls to the local court office and said the state attorney would not be speaking about the case.

According to an affidavit filed in Vermont Superior Court with the charge sheets, police found condoms and wrappers near where Jenkins was discovered. Lt. Jean Paul Sinclair, the Vermont State Police crime scene search team leader, said Jenkins’ feet were tied with white rope and that she had “severe bruising of her face, neck, upper and lower torso's and extremities indicating that she received a severe beating prior to her death.” Sinclair also said some of the bruises had “unique patterns” that he described as being “checkerboard." He also noted she had bruises that were rounded, “like that of the toe of a shoe.” Maj. Ledo said he hoped the arrests would bring closure for Jenkins’ family and friends. People in the close-knit communities of northeastern Vermont had been speculating about the crime and who was responsible. “But they didn’t expect the gruesome” details, said a tearful Marion Beattie Cairns, the owner of The Creamery Restaurant, where Jenkins had worked part-time as a waitress and people had gathered since her disappearance to console each other. “We can now turn our full attention to healing from this tragic loss, celebrating Melissa’s life and mourning her death,” said Joe Healy, a spokesman for St. Johnsbury Academy, which will hold a memorial service for her on Friday. The school counts President Calvin Coolidge among its alumni.

"Mr. Anime"!

Waller, Texas -- Trey Eric Sesler (pictured left) a 22-year-old who styles himself "Mr. Anime" for his YouTube movie reviews, is in jail, accused of using a high-powered rifle to kill his parents and his brother. The murders were discovered Tuesday in the small town of Waller, Texas. Police found the bodies of his parents, Lawton Ray Sesler Jr., 58, Rhonda Wyse Sesler, 57 and their 26-year-old son, Mark Alan Sesler. Lawton and Rhonda Sesler were married 34 years. Writing was said to have been written over the walls of the home expressing remorse. Waller Police Chief Phil Rehak said: 'The best way for me to describe the residence is it looked like a war zone – a tremendous amount of damage inside the residence, the crime scene was not contained to one area of the residence. 'It was from one end of the residence to the other, front to back, which is unusual.' He was arrested at a friend's home just hours after the bodies were found. Investigators said Sesler had several guns with him at the time. Police have said they don’t know why Sesler would want to kill his family, but that it was an exceptionally violent, angry crime.

Under questioning from police, he told them he and another former Waller High School student were planning a Columbine-style massacre at at a local high school and now investigators are questioning the friend concerning the plot. Sesler told investigators that he killed his family because he did not want them to have to face the results of the mass shootings. Sesler has no previous criminal record in Texas, a database search shows. The media spoke to the aunt of the Trey's father, who was killed. She said of Trey: "I'll have to admit, he was quite strange. But naturally, I wasn't going to tell Trey's parents that he acts peculiar," she said. "His father was a very private person and never really discussed him with me at all." She said she believed he was on some kind of medication for a health condition but didn't know what. Sesler's Facebook page contains innocuous postings; under "About Trey" it says: "Welcome to the house of fun. I'm Trey, no nicknames or anything. I really like to take it easy and have a nice time. I'm really interested in my education as a college student and am really excited about graduating in a few years. I plant things sometimes in the spring like peppers and strawberries. My car is currently the most exciting part of my days. Please to meet you though, take it easy."

Teen Bull!

Posted: March 7, 2012 | Updated: Apr 2, 2012. Newton County, GA - It has happened yet again - the unconscionable act of bestiality. This time, the victims were two female Pit bulls owned by Dr. Cathryn Lafayette. When you see Dr. Cathryn Lafayette interacting with her four pit bull dogs, it's clear she loves them and they love her. According to media sources, Lafayette hired a teen to help clean her dogs' kennels and do other odd jobs around her property in exchange for paying tuition to help the young man receive his GED. It turns out that 19 yr-old Bernard Archer was doing much more than his employer asked for. Instead of just handling odd jobs and cleaning, Archer was engaging in sexual acts with two of Dr. Lafayette's female Pit bulls. Archer was arrested on two counts of bestiality - felony charges in the state of Georgia.
Dr. Lafayette did not believe the responding officers when they initially notified her. Wrapping one's head around such a deranged concept is no easy task. However, when Newton County Deputies showed Dr. Lafayette video footage captured by her neighbors, there was no denying that the teen had indeed victimized the woman's dogs. According to media sources, the footage captured Archer's antics - Lafayette describes the incident and what she saw... Dr. Lafayette said she was inside her home taking a nap on Saturday when someone knocked on her door. When she stepped outside, several Newton County deputies were in her yard. "I'm thinking, 'Oh my God, don't tell me that the dogs got out,'" she said. She was worried her dogs got out and attacked someone. "A deputy told me I didn't do anything wrong, I was the victim. I said, 'Victim!' I'm thinking, 'Wait a minute, did someone kill my dog?' He said, 'No the neighbor behind you, they saw the teenager having sex with your female dogs.' I said, 'Having sex with my female dogs?' I think they must have got it wrong," said Lafayette. Lafayette didn't believe them until they showed her the video her neighbors recorded. "And it showed him on his knees inside the kennel with my dog. He was on his knees like he was a dog," said Lafayette. He had just started his "job" on Saturday. "Our agreement was if I pay the tuition then he would pay half by working here at my home or whatever I had for him to do. Saturday was his first day to start working," said Lafayette. "For him to come on my property and rape my female dogs, that's totally unheard of and that hurt me. I wasn't here to protect them," she said. Lafayette trusted Archer and she introduced him to her dogs. Now she feels she let her babies down.

Dixon Dogs!

Posted: January 12, 2012 | Updated: Apr 2, 2012.
Alberta, Canada -- So far, there have been seven women who have come forward with allegations that 34-year-old Shannon Bradford Dixon (pictured right) terrorized them and three state he forced them to have sex with dogs. Dixon has been arrested with charges including bestiality, aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, assault with a weapon, unnecessary suffering to an animal, extortion, uttering threats and breach of conditions. The allegations are that the women met Dixon via online dating services. He then threatened them, forced them to give him money and would threaten to make public embarrassing photographs he'd taken of them. Three of the women have stated that Dixon forced them to have sex with dogs, during which he took the photographs, and then used the threat of exposing those pictures in order to extort money from them. Once the women had been forced to have sex with the dogs, Dixon allegedly abused them and then killed them. This was torture of both the women and the animals involved. Terrorizing these women as well as abusing and killing innocent dogs in this manner is simply reprehensible. Anyone who could commit such horrible crimes is a danger to both humans and animals. The crimes are alleged to go back as far as 2008. He is due for a hearing on January 25th in the Stony Plain Provincial Court. Hopefully if convicted, this monster will be brought to justice and receive the maximum possible sentence for all of the alleged crimes. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have issued a plea, asking that any other victims of Dixon come forward. Police feel certain there are more victims. Any potential victims are urged to contact the RCMP as soon as possible to add their names and any crimes committed to the list of those already charged. The world of online dating can be very dangerous and caution should always be used.

Metairie, La. -- Blake T. Sanderford, the Metairie man accused of making a video of himself molesting a Siberian husky, admitted to the crime after the recording surfaced on the Internet, according to his arrest report. Sanderford, 21, remained Friday in the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna in lieu of $11,000 bond, and parish government spokesman Kriss Fortunato said his dog was being examined by veterinarians. The Animal Shelter took custody of the dog when Sanderford was arrested Wednesday, police said. "Once it is determined the dog is healthy, we plan to place the dog up for adoption to a good home," Fortunato said. The crime came to light after the Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals received an email from a "concerned citizen" saying a man in south Louisiana was "sexually abusing his pet dog, a female Siberian Husky and posting videos approximately two minutes in length depicting an adult white male having sexual intercourse with a dog," the arrest report said. The SPCA forwarded the email to State Police because those actions violate a state law, crime against nature, said SPCA communications director Katherine LeBlanc. Also, the animal organization doesn't have the investigative capability to identify the man in the video, LeBlanc said. LeBlanc said at least one of the videos was posted on gaybeast.com. The site is a bestiality website with graphic videos involving men and animals. State Police detectives identified the man in the videos as Sanderford and obtained an arrest warrant, the report said. Wednesday at 6:45 a.m., detectives arrived at Sanderford's home, 231 Beverly Drive, seized computers and arrested him, the report said. During an interview, Sanderford admitted using his computer web camera to record himself molesting the dog, the report said. Police booked him with crime against nature and aggravated cruelty to animals. Fortunato said the dog appeared to be 2 to 3 years old. Neither LeBlanc nor State Police spokeswoman Melissa Matey knew the dog's name. The case made for a rare one at the SPCA, which is more accustomed to fielding reports of neglect of animals and stray or dangerous animals. "It's uncommon for us to receive this type of complaint," LeBlanc said, "but we do work with the proper authorities whenever a complaint like this comes across our desk." No one answered the door at Sanderford's home Friday.
