Raging Spa Treatment!
Brookfield, Wisc. -- A man who had been ordered to stay away from his estranged wife barged into a Wisconsin spa where his wife worked and shot seven women, killing three of them, before shooting himself to death, police said today. Radcliffe Haughton, 45 (pictured above, center) was among the dead. Police said that it appears that Haughton started a small fire in the Azana Salon & Spa in Brookfield, Wisc., that was extinguished by the building's sprinkler system. Initial reports that Haughton left behind a bomb turned out to be false. Authorities swarmed Haughton's home in the suburb of Brown Deer, and sent in a robot to search the residence, News affiliates reported.
"We believe this incident is domestic violence related," Brookfield Police Chief Daniel Tushaus said at a news conference this evening. Tushaus said that on Oct. 4 police were called to the spa because Haughton allegedly slashed the tires of his wife's car. She sought a restraining order on her husband on Oct. 8 and on Oct. 18 a judge issued a four-year restraining order, Tushaus said. Today's shooting erupted 11:09 a.m CT in Brookfield, and shortly after SWAT teams surrounded the spa with their guns drawn, preparing for a gun battle. "We were expecting an armed encounter," Tushaus said.
Witnesses described screaming women, at least one bleeding, fleeing the spa, with one rolling down a slight hill before police scooped her up and got her out of the area. Tushaus said that police rescued up to 12 clients and employees when they first arrived and began a painstaking search of the 9,000 square foot building that includes two floors. The chief said the building included many treatment rooms, often locked. A "be on the lookout" alert was issued for Haughton and hours later, they found Haughton in a locked section of the building where he had apparently shot himself, the chief said. A black 2003 Mazda driven by the suspect was recovered outside of Brookfield, however police declined to say where it was found. Tushaus said police believe the gunman took a taxi to the spa.
The four injured women ranged in age from 22 to 40 and were taken to Froedert Hospital with what were described as non-critical injuries. The hospital was briefly placed on lock down and only patients with a police escort were being accepted. Employees wishing to enter had to show identification. Sheriff deputies searched the hospital before lifting the lockdown, apparently worried that the gunman had followed the victims to the hospital.
The Westmoor Country Club, which shares a parking lot with the spa, was put on lockdown along with other businesses in the area, said the club's chief operating officer Joe Coen. "We didn't hear anything but ventured to the north toward the spa and we could clearly see police officers with what looked like to be a rifle and a few attendants were coming out of the building," he said. "We quickly retreated back to the building where authorities have told us to stay."
This is not the first time a violent shooting has rocked the area. On Aug. 5, Wade Michael Page, an Army veteran and white supremacist, killed six people and injured three others before fatally shooting himself at a Sikh temple south of Milwaukee. In 2005, less than a mile away, a gunman killed seven people and wounded four more at a church service at the Sheraton Hotel. Terry Michael Ratzmann, the 44-year-old gunman, then committed suicide.

Canada -- Magnotta was pegged as a serial kitten-killer by animal rights activists. He is also said to be a man who may have dated a Canadian woman convicted of drugging, raping, torturing and killing young girls almost two decades ago. A journalist who met him years ago described him as "creepy." Magnotta's images and words are all over the Internet, on porn sites and what appears to be his own website, where he defends himself as the victim of cyberstalkers out to get him. All of this paled in comparison to this week's accusations against Magnotta as he became the center of Canada's most talked-about crime. Authorities launched a massive manhunt for Magnotta after a severed hand was sent to Canada's Liberal Party, a foot to the Conservatives and a torso was stuffed in a suitcase and tossed in the trash of the Montreal apartment building where he lived. "We opened it and there was a body with no head," Mike Nadeau, the building cleaner, told media sources.
The building, located on the corner of Place Lucie and Decarie Boulevard, on the edges of an expressway, will be forever notorious. The foul smell of rotting flesh permeated the building. Inside apartment No. 208, dried blood stained the table, the bed, the bathtub, the refrigerator. To make matters more chilling, Montreal police Commander Ian Lefreniere said Magnotta filmed himself in the act, the shocking 10-minute video then posted online for all to see. Magnotta knew the victim, whom Lafreniere said he could not identify. He said the headless body was too mutilated to make any immediate identification.
A search for Magnotta on Google yields a plethora of images that match his description of himself: A model, an actor, a porn star. There are images of Magnotta half or fully naked, in suggestive poses, lips always pouted. A reporter met Magnotta in 2007. There were rumors then that Magnotta was romantically linked to Karla Homolka, who many years before was arrested for the rape-murders of three Ontario girls, including her own sister. In a plea bargain deal, she was sentenced to only 12 years in jail. Magnotta's name is also familiar to animal rights activists who accuse him of being a serial kitten-killer. They say the man in an YouTube video killing kittens by drowning and asphyxiation and then using the carcasses in sexual acts is Magnotta. A Facebook group started in December 2010 identified Magnotta by name on its page, dubbed him the "Vacuum Kitten Killer" and asked for help in tracking him down. Lafreniere of the Montreal police department said he was aware of the animal allegations. "Again, this might give us an update about what kind of man he is," Lafreniere said. His image and information related to him were later recovered from a "very graphic" website, Lafreniere said. At least one of the websites examined by authorities was pornographic.
He was born in 1982 in Scarborough, just outside Toronto, as Eric Clinton Newman. He changed his name to Luka Rocco Magnotta in 2006. Sometimes, he used the alias Vladimir Romanov. His website has writings in Russian as well as a link in Arabic that takes readers to an explanation of homosexuality. The police bulletin described him as a white male with black hair, blue eyes. He stood 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighed about 135 pounds. Lefreniere said Magnotta, a king of disguises, once wrote about how to disappear after committing the perfect crime. Police are hoping he will not be able to follow his own advice. Canadian police believe Magnotta, 29, (who was born as Eric Clinton Newman and also uses the alias Vladimir Romanov) has fled the country, prompting Interpol, the global police agency, to add his name to its most wanted list. Police have reason to believe he might have gone to eastern Europe. Lefreniere said there was a possibility he might have re-entered Canada under another name.

Marin, California (WCJB) -- James Lee Crummel (pictured above, center) a 68-year-old California inmate on death row in San Quentin State Prison was found dead hanging in his cell, authorities said Tuesday. Authorities are investigating the suicide of condemned inmate Crummel and declined to provide the circumstances of the hanging, which happened Sunday afternoon in the rear of his single-occupant cell, said Lt. Sam Robinson of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. A corrections officer had last observed Crummel 15 minutes before he was found dead, Robinson said. The officer was doing an inmate count before dinner when he found Crummel's body, Robinson said. Crummel had not been under suicide watch, Robinson said.
Crummel went to death row shortly after being sentenced to death on July 9, 2004, by a Riverside County jury for the April 13, 1979, killing of 13-year-old James "Jamie" Trotter (pictured left). Trotter was on his way to school in Costa Mesa in 1979 when authorities say Crummel kidnapped, sexually abused and then murdered him. The boy's remains were found in 1990, and the identity of the body was not confirmed until 1996, authorities said. By then, Crummel was already in prison for other crimes. Randy Lawton, a Newport Beach police officer who investigated the murder, kidnapping and sexual assault of 13-year-old Trotter said: "He was the most evil person I had ever had contact with. May all his victims, known and unknown, now have peace."
Crummel was one of the first Orange County targets of "Megan's Law," which allows authorities to notify neighbors if any "high-risk" sex offenders live in their midst. He was living in the Newport Crest condominiums in 1997 when Newport Beach police notified neighbors that a repeat child molester lived nearby. Crummel had been previously convicted of sex crimes in four states dating to the 1960s. While police were investigating the murder of Trotter, Crummel was arrested for molesting three teenage boys.
Crummel was born Jan. 27, 1944, in Kalamazoo, Mich., the second of five children to Loretta Beisehl. Crummel recalled his mother as a domineering woman who treated her son like the little girl she always wanted. Sometimes she dressed him like a girl and had him fix her hair. When he was 8 years old, he later told prison psychologists, he performed a sex act on a neighborhood boy for a pocketful of pennies. He quit school after being expelled in ninth grade for punching a student and knocking down his principal.
When he turned 17, Crummel enlisted in the Army. He quickly achieved two service awards: marksman and sharpshooter. But one year later, in 1962, he received a court-martial in Missouri for molesting two boys and a girl. At his trial, a military psychiatrist testified that he had the emotional maturity of an 8-year-old. Crummel was sentenced to 10 years in Fort Leavenworth, Kan. In 1966, his mother died of a brain hemorrhage. Later that year, he was set free after serving four of the 10 years.
California reinstated capital punishment in 1978, and since then, 57 condemned inmates have died from natural causes, 20 have committed suicide, 13 have been executed in California, one was executed in Missouri and six died from other causes, authorities said. California has 723 convicts on California's death row.

(Kimberly Billy (left) and JoAnn Hobson) - Two more possible victims of the "Speed Freak Killers" were identified Friday, more than 25 years after they disappeared from their Stockton homes, authorities said. In total, the remains of four missing young women from the Central Valley have been found this year as a result of death row inmate Wesley Shermantine's crudely drawn maps directing authorities to burial sites. In the latest discovery, San Joaquin County Sheriff Steve Moore said the remains of Kimberly Billy, who went missing in 1984 at the age of 19, and JoAnn Hobson, who disappeared in 1985 at 16, were among the hundreds of bone fragments found last month in an abandoned well near the farming town of Linden.
(pictured left) who authorities say went on a methamphetamine-fueled killing spree in the 1980s and 90s. Searchers were directed to the well by Shermantine, who hand-drew maps in his San Quentin Prison cell after a Sacramento bounty hunter promised to pay him for information about victims.
(pictured left) and Herzog. Shermantine is now on death row for four murders. Herzog hanged himself in January after the bounty hunter told him Shermantine was disclosing locations of victims. Shermantine, who blames Herzog for the killing spree, told authorities that 10 or more bodies could have been stashed at the Linden well. Before his suicide, Herzog maintained Shermantine was responsible for the deaths.

(pictured left) stabbed her around March 22, suffocated her with a bag and dismembered her body in a bathtub. Authorities also believe he then, along with the help of others, transported some of her body parts to other locations. Neighbors said Sacco and Puccio had a volatile relationship. "Jessica was a very nice girl and kept to herself most of the time," said neighbor Aaron Gall.
Puccio was arrested along with a man and woman from Fenton, Michigan. Felony charges against the Michigan couple and a man and woman from Urbana, allege they failed to intervene during the killing, or helped to hide it, police said. Their bonds ranged from $30,000 to $42,500. Two will appear in court in Fenton, and two in Hamilton, where they were arrested, to determine whether they'll be sent to Fenton. Police allege that the Fenton couple helped transport some of the remains to Covington, Ky., about 90 miles away. They said they found evidence there but wouldn't elaborate. According to other media sources, Puccio's bond is more than $532,500.
An autopsy on Sacco was done over the weekend and police said they believe she was killed about a week before she was found, possibly on March 22. Police believe the main suspect acted alone in killing Sacco and then received help from the Fenton man to move and dismember the body.

(pictured above, right) and his wife, 33-year-old Patricia Prue (pictured above, left) were riding around when he got the idea “to get a girl,” a police affidavit said. They are accused of luring single mother Melissa Jenkins from her home by pretending their vehicle had broken down. Her vehicle was found idling Sunday with her unharmed 2-year-old son inside. Police were called Sunday night after Jenkins’ son was found alone in the vehicle.
The couple pleaded not guilty Wednesday to second-degree murder in the death of Jenkins, a 33-year-old science teacher at the prestigious St. Johnsbury Academy, and unauthorized burial or removal of a dead body. The Prues were ordered held without bail. More charges are possible, police said. After the court appearance, Allen Prue’s mother, Donna Prue, said that her son has never been in trouble with the law before and that she has faith he didn’t commit the crime. “I do not believe he would ever do this, because he didn’t have it in him. I have nothing against her (Patricia); I don’t have nothing bad to say about either one,” said Donna Prue, who lives with the couple and her daughter. She said she did not know Jenkins.
(pictured left) and had snowplowed her driveway a couple of years ago,” Vermont State Police Maj. Ed Ledo said at a news conference announcing the arrests. A friend told police that Allen Prue had asked Jenkins out a couple of times and that she felt uncomfortable around him, according to the documents. She stopped having him plow, and in autumn 2011 he showed up drunk at her home asking if he could plow her driveway the following year. Her former boyfriend told police she called him saying that she had gotten a weird call from a couple who used to plow her driveway and that she was going to help them. She wanted someone to know what she was doing, the documents say. When he couldn’t reach her two hours later, he went to check on her. He told police he found her vehicle, with her son sleeping in it, and one of her shoes nearby.
In the police affidavit, authorities also outlined how they traced the phone that was used by the Prues to call Jenkins the night she disappeared, the fact she had called a friend worried about a “weird call” she got “from a girl and guy who used to plow her driveway,” and how the body was found.
The police affidavit said:
Allen Prue later told police that Patricia Prue had called Jenkins and said they were broken down hear her home, documents said. When Jenkins got out of her vehicle, Allen Prue grabbed her and strangled her. He then put the body in the backseat of their car, and they drove to their home. At some point, Patricia Prue choked Jenkins in the car “to ensure she wasn’t breathing.” Back at their home, he put Jenkins’ body on a tarp, removed her clothes and poured bleach on her body. The Prues also removed their clothes and put them on the tarp. They then drove to a boat access at the Connecticut River, which separates Vermont from New Hampshire, and put Jenkins’ body in the water, weighing it down with cinder blocks and concealing it with brush.
The accused couple may have had sexual motivations, according to the county’s top prosecutor, and investigators noted finding condoms and wrappers where the body – which showed signs of a severe beating -- was found in a wooded area. Caledonia County’s top prosecutor, State’s Attorney Lisa Warren, told media sources that the killing appeared to be “sexually motivated.” When sources contacted Warren’s office to further elaborate on her comment, a woman who answered the phone directed all calls to the local court office and said the state attorney would not be speaking about the case.

(pictured left) a 22-year-old who styles himself "Mr. Anime" for his YouTube movie reviews, is in jail, accused of using a high-powered rifle to kill his parents and his brother. The murders were discovered Tuesday in the small town of Waller, Texas. Police found the bodies of his parents, Lawton Ray Sesler Jr., 58, Rhonda Wyse Sesler, 57 and their 26-year-old son, Mark Alan Sesler. Lawton and Rhonda Sesler were married 34 years. Writing was said to have been written over the walls of the home expressing remorse. Waller Police Chief Phil Rehak said: 'The best way for me to describe the residence is it looked like a war zone – a tremendous amount of damage inside the residence, the crime scene was not contained to one area of the residence. 'It was from one end of the residence to the other, front to back, which is unusual.' He was arrested at a friend's home just hours after the bodies were found. Investigators said Sesler had several guns with him at the time. Police have said they don’t know why Sesler would want to kill his family, but that it was an exceptionally violent, angry crime.

Newton County, GA - It has happened yet again - the unconscionable act of bestiality. This time, the victims were two female Pit bulls owned by Dr. Cathryn Lafayette. When you see Dr. Cathryn Lafayette interacting with her four pit bull dogs, it's clear she loves them and they love her.
According to media sources, Lafayette hired a teen to help clean her dogs' kennels and do other odd jobs around her property in exchange for paying tuition to help the young man receive his GED. It turns out that 19 yr-old Bernard Archer was doing much more than his employer asked for. Instead of just handling odd jobs and cleaning, Archer was engaging in sexual acts with two of Dr. Lafayette's female Pit bulls. Archer was arrested on two counts of bestiality - felony charges in the state of Georgia.

(pictured right) terrorized them and three state he forced them to have sex with dogs. Dixon has been arrested with charges including bestiality, aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, assault with a weapon, unnecessary suffering to an animal, extortion, uttering threats and breach of conditions. The allegations are that the women met Dixon via online dating services. He then threatened them, forced them to give him money and would threaten to make public embarrassing photographs he'd taken of them. Three of the women have stated that Dixon forced them to have sex with dogs, during which he took the photographs, and then used the threat of exposing those pictures in order to extort money from them. Once the women had been forced to have sex with the dogs, Dixon allegedly abused them and then killed them. This was torture of both the women and the animals involved. Terrorizing these women as well as abusing and killing innocent dogs in this manner is simply reprehensible. Anyone who could commit such horrible crimes is a danger to both humans and animals.
The crimes are alleged to go back as far as 2008. He is due for a hearing on January 25th in the Stony Plain Provincial Court. Hopefully if convicted, this monster will be brought to justice and receive the maximum possible sentence for all of the alleged crimes.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have issued a plea, asking that any other victims of Dixon come forward. Police feel certain there are more victims. Any potential victims are urged to contact the RCMP as soon as possible to add their names and any crimes committed to the list of those already charged. The world of online dating can be very dangerous and caution should always be used.
